You won't see any people or cars at this cabin, but you will see nature at it's most pure while you rest and renew yourself. There is lots of fun to be had here. This cabin experience is a fun-filled vacation experience all of its own. When you add the fabulous fun from the City of Helen, and its surrounding outdoor mountain activities you have it all!!!On the outskirts of Alpine Helen, Ga. is Mystic Mountain Hideaway. As you turn into the mountain trail toward this secluded log cabin all of the sights and sounds of the city disappear. You hear a trickle of water, and everything you see and smell is lush, dense, and green. This log cabin is like a vacation treasure chest full of life waiting to nurture your needs. The deer, and wild turkey are content to share their land with you. You may want to walk down the hill to fish in the, trout filled, Chattahoochee River. Our land is joined to 50,000 acres of the Chattahoochee National Forest, and we are a hop, skip, and a jump from Unicoi State Park and Ana Ruby Falls. Mystic Mountain Hideaway is the perfect place to let your inner child come out and play.Mystic Mountain Hideaway is cared for lovingly, and maintained as a non-toxic cabin including cleaning with green products, and using only herbal and natural pesticides to spray our land. Betty's Country Grocery is about 1 mile from cabin. o Cooking Utensils Provided: Kitchen has everything you need to make great meals including: high tech stainless steal oven/stove with warmers, extra pots & pans, extra silverware, coffee pot, toaster, bottled water, extra dishes, wine glasses, beer mugs, and candles. In the pantry is a set of heart-shaped dishes for those special evenings or breakfast in bed. o Refrigerator o Microwave: Microwave Convection Oven o Catering Available: Local Restaurants provide catering or food delivery. You will find a "Restaurant & Activity Guide" in the Kitchen. * Outdoor Features o Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: Grill has 2 cooking shelves, 4 burners, and a work station near patio dining furniture. o Deck/Patio: The deck has a nice view of the deer crossing, complete with hot tub, patio furniture, grill, fireburner and accent lighting. Off the deck is a small yard with solar torch lights, hammock, picnic table, and another fireplace. Either spot is nice for a small intimate wedding. * View/Location o Water View: As you drive up the trail entrance to the cabin you pass a small waterfall where the creek flows down the mountain. You can not see it from the cabin. If you walk 3/10's of a mile downhill from the cabin you will be in the Chatahoochee River, although you can not see the river from the cabin. During Fishing season the River is stocked with fresh trout every Wednesday. o Mountain View: Wooded, Private, and Tranquil * Communications o Broadband Internet o WiFi (Wireless Internet): Wireless internet is available. Pam Love. ***Housekeeping: If you would like extra housekeeping during your stay, you may request housekeeping, and pay them at the time of each visit * Suitability o Pet Friendly: The dogs have acres to run free with no cars around. They love it!!! o Kid Friendly: Portable Crib/Play-pen available by request. This is mountain property so children should be supervised outside. Helen offers great kid entertainment such as the toy store, candy store, bear zoo, reptile zoo, water park, helicopter rides, tubing down the river, ice cream parlors, putt-putt golf, Beach at Unicoi State Park, hiking at Ana Ruby Falls, and more, more, more. o Minimum Age Limit for Renters: 21 years old o Smoking Allowed: NO SMOKING INSIDE THE CABIN. You may smoke outside if you are careful, responsible, and do not leave butts on ground. If cigarette trash/butts are left you are charged $50.00 extra for housekeeping. If the cabin smells like smoke you will be charged $100.00 for cleaning and airing out the smell. If there are any burn marks you will be charged the cost of the burned item. Housekeeping reports the stinky smell of cigarettes inside the cabin.
