Onsite Activities •Beach AccessThe Island Club is a picturesque ocean front residential resort located on the quiet north end of Hilton Head Island. Our villa is less than a 75-yard walk down the path through the manicured lawn area to the beach. Depending on the time of day you may see dolphin swimming close to shore. You may also see shrimp boats offshore as the waters off Hilton Head Island are abundant with shrimp which is caught and sold at the docks and locally to restaurants. At night if you look to the south you will see Tybee Island, GA; during the day you will see ships passing Tybee on their way in and out of Savannah Harbor. From May to October we have a lifeguard on duty from 9 AM to 5 PM. You may rent a beach chair with umbrella as well as various beach equipment like water bikes and boogie boards form the attendant on the sand. We have an assortment of beach chairs and sand toys for children located in the villa for your use. Rinse-off showers and hose is available in the lawn area when returning from the beach. The deck overlooking the dunes at the end of the lawn area is a great place for viewing a sunrise or sunset or just relaxing after dinner watching the stars and listening to the surf. •TennisIsland Club is a tennis players delight with six all weather hard surface courts and one clay. The courts are professionally maintained and managed by onsite staff. As a guest of 150 Island Club you have privileges at the Tennis Center. You receive one-hour of reserved court time and as much "as available court time as is available during your stay. Pro Shop hours are 8 to 6 April through October and off season 9 – 5. Hit with the Pro - Also on Monday mornings, Any Island Club guest may "Hit with the Pros". If you are age 16 and above you are invited to sign up in the Pro Shop for a complimentary warm-up, which includes free coffee and rolls. Stroke of the Day - Group lessons are available every week with each day’s lesson concentrating on a different stroke. Junior Program - Three levels of junior programs are available during the week. Tiny Tots age 5-7 - In Betweens age 8-12 - Jr. Teens age 13-15 Center Court is designed with viewer stands and every Monday evening (5:30 PM) April through October you can enjoy a FREE Tennis Pro Exhibition where pros compete against each other in an exhibition match. In addition to FREE admission your hosts, Palmetto Marketing, provides FREE cold beer, wine and lemonade and also conducts a prize drawing for those in attendance. Private Instruction- Individual Private, Semi-Private and Private Series are available. There are miles of hard surface bike trails throughout Hilton Head and it is a great way to tour the island. The bikes are “Beach Cruisers” so they can be taken down to the sand as well. •Children's ActivitiesDuring the summer season the Island Club offers daily children activity programs. The programs are divided by age group and are fully supervised. Several different activities are available each day. There is also an indoor play area with toys in the community center building adjacent to the swimming pools. •Swimming PoolsOur 150 Villa is 30 steps from the pool area. The Island Club has just completed a complete renovation of the pool area (Spring 2007) and it is incredible. It’s tri-level design defines the three separate areas and pools. The top level is a tanning deck where the chaises actually sit in the water and a large jacuzzi. The main level adult pool overlooks a beautiful stack-rock wall with fountain and offers both shade and full sun lounging on comfortable chaises. On the lower level bordering the lagoon, the Kiddies Pool has a walk-in ramp and an overhead fountain/shower and again plenty of chaise lounges. •Fitness CenterThe Fitness Center is very well equipped to provide a full body workout. The Fitness Center is located in the same building as the Tennis Pro Shop and is open during Pro Shop hours; 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM April through October, and during the off-season 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The Fitness Center has Men’s and Women’s changing rooms with showers and separate Saunas are also available for Men and Women. The outdoor Jacuzzi is open until 10:00 PM. •Picnic/BarbequeThere are several picnic areas throughout the Island Club with picnic tables and charcoal barbeque grills for our guests use and enjoyment. The picnic area near the beach has a covered lanai and is suitable for a couple, family or a group gathering.
