The Lilacs is a beautifully restored, cozy 1920's Redwood cabin on Palomar Mountain just one hour, 25 minutes from San Diego. The cabin has three bedrooms and two baths, full kitchen, an original rock hearth, and is simply FULL of fun, atmosphere and special vibes. It is located in the Bailey’s Meadow area of Palomar Mountain. Bailey’s Meadow is by all accounts the most historical and quaintest community on the mountain having been settled more than 100 years ago. Upstairs: 1 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen, living room with double futon sofa, huge native-stone fireplace and enclosed family room looking out at tree level. There is a double-bed loft with ladder for adventurous youth. With 2 sofa sleepers and the loft, it might possibly accommodate 6-8 people. Down below: 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. In this old house the 2 lower bedrooms are not connected to the upstairs by interior stairs, but rather there are exterior stairs around either side of the house. Each bedroom has a door to the outside with an exterior seating area. The lower bedrooms are connected to each other by an interior doorway. For convenience there is a coffee pot and microwave available down stairs. Each bedroom has a double bed. Two very small cots are there for kids
